These are old pictures I took at “Teatro Nacional”, which stands for National Theater in Spanish. One of the best examples of unique Guatemalan architecture by Efrain Recinos, who was not only a painter but an engineer and a complete artist. We climbed to the roof of the building with a couple of friends when I was around 20 years old. We sneaked to the top because it is prohibited to go to the rooftop, but the view was awesome!
Anyways, you can see the reality of this city. It’s a metropolitan area with a lot of poverty, but it has its hidden beauties. Something you get a chance to discover by being curious and observative.
